It is a very nice hotel, yes it is out of the centre but we actually liked that as it was a nice walk into the main areas or a quick tram ride in. the tram stop is right by the hotel. The breakfast was pricey and basic but with a bakers just round the corner open at 7.30 am it was perfect!!the area is served by good local places to eat and drink. the hotel has internet access in the reception area and vending machines for drinks/alchoholic drinks/snacks etc. Overall I was pleased with it. It seemed nice and modern in appearance( they were varnishing the main receptions new floor one day!!) and was clean and tidy. the hotel staff were very helpful and able to speak numerous languages.i would recommend this hotel if you want to be out of the bussle of the central area but to be honest its a lovely walk in to the main area. I would definitely return there again when we go back in the future.Enjoy

I have titled this review with 'i dont agree ' the reason being is that before i recenctly travelled to the Best Western Lancaster i had read the other reviews and started to get quite worried ! Although once arriving at the hotel i did have to ask myself what the fuss was about.The hotel has recently been renovaating its first two floors aand dining room and have to say that i was very impressed by the finish.Th reception area was spacious,modern and clean,the reception staff were very polite and very helpfull. Going onto our room,it was a standard size room although the only down side to it was that when you went to the toilet the door was that close you were nearly licking it! There were very few facilities there was no bar area and after breakfast time there waas no where at the hotel to get food,although the receptionist found us a tke aaway menu that was very reasonably priced.The breakfast room was light airy and funky and breaakfast was typically dutch but a nice start to the morning. Ok the hotel is not smack in the centre but its a nice walk to the market areas and the zoo is just over the road, you can get a number of trams right outside the hotel into any area and thats less than a euro. All in all i haad a very enjoyable time,being a travel agent i get to travel alot and i give clients recomendations from my own personal experience i would not hesitate recommending this hotel.
