WELCOME!The Prinsen Hotel is situated in two historical houses build around 1870 and designed by the famous Dutch architect P.J.H. Cuypers. This architect has also designed the buildings of the Central Station and the Rijks(National) Museum in Amsterdam. He has himself lived for some years in the buildings where our hotel is located. The hotel is charming decorated and centrally situated in the vicinity of the City Centre and at walking distance from the Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk(modern Art) museum, Van Gogh Museum, Leidse Square and the popular Vondel park. Thanks to its strategic position the Prinsen Hotel offers you the perfect starting point for your stay in Amsterdam. The hotel offers 45 well furnished rooms (including 1 De-Luxe room) and a small tasteful hotel bar where you can relax with a drink after an exciting day. All rooms are cheerful decorated and are all provided with private bathroom with bath andor shower, toilet , hairdryer, alarmradio, telephone, safe and (flat-screen)television. Wireless internet is available in all hotel rooms and public areas against a small charge. In the back yard of the hotel you will find 4 rooms. These have a beautiful view to our garden and are extremely quiet, and this in the middle of the city centre! Our reception team is glad to help you with checking in and is at your disposal for any questions. With all pleasure they will suggest you a restaurant in the neighbourhood, book a taxi, advice and book an excursion or provide you with information about our great city! The hotel serves a continental breakfast buffet with some typical Dutch products. After your breakfast you can start working or begin your tourist day with a satisfied feeling. From 1.1.2008 Prinsen Hotel will be non-smoking. For special requests like flowers or champagne in the room please inform us when you make your reservation! I recently had a very nice stay at Prinsen Hotel. The hotel is nestled in a charming Amsterdam-style building and has a wonderful location easily reachable from Amsterdam central train station. Main attractions are within walking distance. I booked my stay through otel.com and had no problems during check in. My room was in good size clean and quiet. Bathroom facilities were satisfactory. Continental buffet breakfast the hotel offers was good. Hotel staff was polite and helpful. Good place to stay in Amsterdam!
